Saturday turned out to be a rather busy day for Drexel Hill Volunteers. The day started with 20-2 going to Yeadon Fire Companys 100th Anniversary Parade. 20-2 was at the parade for most of the day. Later in the morning members began to arrive to assist with the open house. After a several year absence the open house was brought back and was a big success. Residents were able to pick up fire prevention information and see fire prevention demonstrations. All our trucks were on display as well as the equipment used by firefighters. Also on hand were the Townships smoke trailer Delaware County Communitcations Field Communications Unit Mobile 3 the Upper Darby Township Police Crime Prevention Officer and a moon bounce from the Lansdowne Fire Company. Those attending were also treated to water ice thanks to Janos Pizza. Thanks to all the residents who attended and those members that helped make the day a success. Calls didnt stop for the day either. Members ran 5 calls during the open house and ended the day late Saturday with call number 6 bringing an end to a busy Saturday.
