Sunday, February 10, 2013 - The Volunteers kept bust over the weekend, running numerous calls. It began with a car fire on the 2900-blk. of Eldon Ave. on Friday morning. Engines 20-2 and 20-3 responded and extinguished a fully involved engine compartment fire. Then, early Sunday morning, Rescue 20 was requested to assist Company 19 (Lansdowne) on a serious accident with entrapment in the area of Owen and Plumstead Aves. Crews were on scene with a vehicle into a large tree with heavy entrapment. Rescue 20 (D/C M. Morgan) assisted Rescue 19 for about 15 minutes before going available. The driver of the vehicle was rushed to a local trauma center in serious condition. Company 20 ran several other calls throughout the weekend.
