Sunday, February 3, 2013 07:35 - Early Sunday morning, the tones dropped for an accident with entrapment on the 4900-blk. of State Rd, bringing in Company 20, Rescue 26 (Highland Park), and the DCMH Paramedics. Upper Darby Police arrived to find a two vehicle, head-on crash, and reported there were two injuries as well as one driver still trapped in her vehicle. Rescue 20 (A/C B. Tully) arrived and immediately went in service for stabilization and extrication, utilizing the JAWS spreaders to remove the driver's side door. Rescue 26 stood by as Engine 20-2 (Lieut. Rapp) arrived and assisted with hazard control. The victim was extricated in about 5 minutes and transported to a local hospital, as was the driver of the other vehicle. The Company was on the scene for approximately 30 minutes. A/C Tully had State Rd Command.
