Congratulatons to Deputy Chief Mike Morgan (20-9A) on receiving the Upper Darby Township Firefighter of the Year Award tonight at the Upper Darby Township Council Meeting. Mike has dedicated almost 30 years of fire fighting service to the Garrettford-Drexel Hill Volunteer Fire Company and the residents of Upper Darby Township. He has shown great leadership serving as a line officer for the majority of his career at the ranks of Lieutenant, Captain, Assistant Chief, and currently as Deputy Chief. He has led his firefighters and taught them well on how to handle everything from a minor medical emergency to a major fire or accident. Mike has consistently been one of the top runners in the Fire Company, making him an unreplaceable assett to the Drexel Hill Fire Company and Upper Darby Township and showing the true meaning of leading by example.
