Sunday, June 20, 2010 - Just after 7 pm, Sunday night, Company 20 and Rescue 26 were dispatched to Garrett Rd and Drexel Ave for the accident with entrapment. Upper Darby Police and Medic 103 (DCMH) were on location with a two vehicle accident with injuries and advised that the driver of one vehicle was trapped inside. Chief 20-9 (Hoban) arrived first and established command, confirming the entrapment report. Rescue 20 arrived next, under the command of D/C 20-9A (M. Morgan), and the crew quickly went to work with the JAWS tools, as Engine 20-2 arrived and began controlling hazards. Rescue 26 stood-by at the scene momentarily before being recalled. Rescue 20's crew was able to remove the door in minutes and crews assisted with patient packaging. Company 20 cleared the scene a short time later and was back in the house in about 30 minutes.
